Job Summary The HVAC Helper will assist HVAC Technicians and Installers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the skilled trades, offering hands-on experience and training in residential and light commercial HVAC systems across job sites in the Huntsvillle, AL area. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the installation of HVAC ductwork, systems, and components under the supervision of a licensed HVAC technician. • Carry tools and materials to and from job sites, load and unload supplies, and prepare work areas. • Clean, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems and job sites for safe and efficient operation. • Support in measuring, cutting, and assembling ductwork using hand and power tools. • Learn and follow safety procedures and building codes. • Ensure tools are properly used, maintained, and returned to storage. • Drive company vehicles as needed (if authorized and licensed). • Communicate effectively with crew leads and supervisors to coordinate tasks. Minimum Education None Minimum Years Of Experience 0-2 Qualifications Specific Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Prior experience in construction or HVAC is a plus but not required. • Ability to use hand and power tools safely. • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade. • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces. • Valid driver’s license (preferred). • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
