Key Responsibilities: • HVAC Installation & Maintenance: • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration units. • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and components, such as compressors, motors, and controls. • Perform routine maintenance and service on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation. • Steel Metals & Ductwork: • Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems according to setup prints and project specifications. • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel and metal components for HVAC installation and repair. • Ensure all metal work is completed to high standards, meeting safety and building code requirements. • Controls & Automation: • Install and configure HVAC controls, including Building Automation Systems (BAS). • Work with advanced control systems for HVAC operations to enhance energy efficiency and system performance. • Troubleshoot and repair control systems to ensure smooth operation and comfort for commercial environments. • Reading Setup Prints & Technical Drawings: • Interpret setup prints, blueprints, and technical drawings for commercial HVAC systems and metalwork. • Hard sketching ductwork for fabrication • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure precise installations. • Supervisory (Working Foreman Role): • Organizing, leading and managing a team of HVAC mechanics and apprentices, ensuring they meet project deadlines and quality standards. • Oversee job site safety, tool and equipment management, and effective use of manpower with effective communication. • Provide guidance and hands-on support to the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to the project plan. • Be able to track and manager personnel and resources using electric tools such as Procore, BuildOps, Outlook. • Journeyman Responsibilities (if applicable): • Perform all duties expected of a Journeyman, including the ability to work independently or as part of a crew. • Mentor apprentices and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Qualifications: • Experience: 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an apprenticeship program preferred. • Licensing/Certifications: Valid HVAC certification and relevant journeyman or foreman certification (if applicable). • Proficiency in reading and interpreting setup prints, blueprints, and technical diagrams. • Experience in steel and sheet metal fabrication and installation. • Familiarity with HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS). • Strong leadership skills for those applying to the Working Foreman role. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Ability to work in various commercial environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, etc.). • Good communication skills • Spanish or other Bilingual skills A Big Plus.
