PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems in district facilities. Job DescriptionJob Description A day on our team From 3 : 30 pm to midnight in Texarkana, AR, you’ll move seamlessly between diagnosing a 480V motor control issue, completing a preventive lube on a critical machine, adjusting an HVAC system for peak performance, and fabricating a quick fix with welding or light carpentry. You’ll interpret complex schematics, blueprint details, and shop drawings to guide safe, high-quality repairs—then document your work and collaborate with teammates who share a Lean mindset. Role overview We’re hiring an industrial maintenance professional with multifaceted expertise across electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and fabrication disciplines. You’ll support production through proactive maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and precision repairs while upholding 5S, single-piece flow, Kanban, and related Lean practices. Location, hours, and pay • Location : Texarkana, AR • Hours : 3 : 30 pm – Midnight • Pay : $27.00–$30.00 per hour with outstanding benefits What you’ll do • Execute general and advanced maintenance across multiple crafts : welding, carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting, millwright, sheet metal, electrical, and mechanical installations / repairs; paint and perform masonry tasks as needed. • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems and demonstrate proficiency in at least four additional trades. • Read and interpret intricate blueprints, sketches, shop and machine drawings, and electrical schematics. • Work safely with power systems up to 480 volts. • Perform HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repairs. • Complete major equipment and machine overhauls. • Carry out routine preventive maintenance, including oiling and lubrication of machines and equipment. • Follow established safety procedures and standards in all assignments. • Obtain a boiler license if requested by the company. • Handle other duties as assigned by supervision. What you bring • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience. • Graduate of a vocational training program or equivalent experience. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven team player in a highly participative environment. • Commitment to Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, single-piece flow, Kanban, etc.). • Comfort with advanced mathematics. • Proficiency with a full range of measuring instruments. Pay range: Depends upon experience. Duties include preventive maintenance, commissioning and servicing of commercial HVAC systems. Qualifications Requires a general knowledge of HVAC systems and DDC controls.
