Duties: assist in analyzing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing HVAC equipment at SAU facilities; ability follow directions from HVAC technician and supervisor; assist with performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests including replacement, and modifications of equipment or systems as needed or requested by the University; communicating with administration and supervisor in an effective way is a requirement for this position; responsible for assisting in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring satisfaction by identifying issues; ability to continually improve the efficiency of all equipment by maintaining a PM program; use equipment along with a variety of hand-tools, to maintain and make minor repair to units; continue to enforce safety to the highest standard and maintain security and accountability of university issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions; display team effort and dedication to the university by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the university requires and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; one year of experience with HVAC equipment; one year HVAC basic knowledge and HVAC service preferred; valid driver’s license with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI's; requires working in diverse conditions; this HVAC position is physical; requires employees to regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.
