At this time, we are looking for an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join our AmerCable Maintenance Team. This team is committed to the maintenance of the facilities and operations. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, heat exchangers, and refrigeration equipment • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently • Conduct inspections of HVAC systems and their components (e.g., evaporators, condensers, compressors, and motors) to ensure they are in proper working order • Calibrate and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and other control systems • Ensure HVAC systems comply with all applicable regulations and safety standards • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed • Maintain compliance requirement documentation • Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies and industry best practices • Support other Plant Engineering department activities Preferred skills and qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair • Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment • HVAC/R license • Must be able to obtain state boiler license • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, both verbally and in writing • Ability to work extended hours as needed, including weekends and holidays • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment • Required to work at heights above ground level • Must be able to operate a forklift • Must be able to physically move material, possibly up to 50lbs

Skills and Experience Five to seven years related experience and/or training. Essential Functions and Duties (including but not limited to) • Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units. • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers. • Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. • Uses power tools and computers. • Identifies, analyzes, and repairs equipment, instruments and products at the customers location(s). • Performs preventive maintenance and modifications as needed or requested by the customer. • Seek out and submit Work Change Authorizations based on customer need. • Maintains company vehicle by keeping records of service manuals, schedules with warehouse manager required maintenance and repairs. • Ability to get along with others. • Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. • Keeps current on all product offerings concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair • Provides technical support to customer. • Ability to use provided software applications to document customer calls, labor and work performed. Education • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; or equivalent experience. • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification
