Job Title Responsibilities include performing inspections, system start-ups, maintenance, emergency service repairs and supporting apprentice service techs. This role requires thorough documentation of each job with notes, pictures and videos. This position requires regular communication with Dispatch, customers and operations manager. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities In-depth understanding of commercial HVAC/R systems, components, and functions (chillers, boilers, RTUs, VRF, VAVs, Cooling Towers, WSHPs, ERVs, and DOAS units etc.) Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and mechanical systems related to HVAC/R Familiarity with EPA regulations and safe refrigerant handling procedures (EPA 608) Knowledge of building codes, OSHA safety standards, and HVAC industry best practices Understanding of digital control systems (DDC/BAS) and programmable thermostats Proficient in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial HVAC/R equipment Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Effective use of HVAC tools, gauges, multimeters, recovery equipment, evacuation equipment and leak detectors Strong communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members Computer and mobile app proficiency for service documentation, diagnostics, and reporting Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple job sites Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and provide clear solutions under pressure Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions Ability to maintain accurate service records and communicate findings professionally Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and participate in ongoing training Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Certified Technician Universal EPA 608 certification 7+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or 30 certification NATE certification Other HVAC/R related training Class A Environmental HVAC/R License Special Qualifications Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening Must have a valid drivers license Must have and maintain a good driving record Must pass preemployment drug screening Clean driving record Physical Requirements Must be able to climb ladders, walk on uneven surfaces, ability to work on a rooftop Work Conditions Work takes place both indoors and outdoors in a variety of settings, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, warehouses, office buildings, retail spaces, and more
