Job Title: HVAC Technical Specialist Location: 300 Lakeside Dr, Oakland, CA, 94612 (Hybrid, with ~20% travel across PG&E territory: San Ramon, Stockton, San Jose) Duration: 24 months Department: Workforce Education & Training (WE&T) Position Summary PG&E Energy Centers seek a full-time HVAC Technical Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert in HVAC systems. This role manages the design, development, and delivery of training programs focused on HVAC design, controls, commissioning, and operations. The specialist will support curriculum creation, teach technical courses, and collaborate with PG&E stakeholders, industry partners, and external training organizations to help meet California’s energy and electrification goals. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train and influence adult learners. Desired Qualifications · Commercial HVAC design and construction experience. · Strong presentation, teaching, and public speaking skills. · Knowledge of California Title 24 Part 6 Energy Standards. · Familiarity with HVAC electrification and all-electric building design. · Experience developing and delivering technical curriculum for adult learners. · PE License or C-20 Contractor License preferred. · Advanced degree in HVAC-related field or equivalent technical expertise.
