Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to diagnose, repair, and install a variety of air conditioning and related equipment. Duties • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment. • Read and interpret schematics, and HVAC design plans to ensure proper installation and service procedures. • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. • Conduct plumbing and electrical work related to HVAC systems as needed. • Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment. • Repair or replace components such as compressors, fans, motors, valves, and controls. • Weld or perform equipment repairs requiring mechanical skills or welding expertise. • Ensure compliance with safety standards during all service activities and maintain a clean work environment. • Document service activities accurately for customer records and warranty purposes. • Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary. Skills • Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar field service role with construction or appliance repair background preferred. • Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration systems, and HVAC/R systems. • Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles. • Experience with plumbing, electrical wiring, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable. • Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems. • Knowledge of field service procedures including troubleshooting complex systems on-site. • Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices used in equipment repair. • Valid driver’s license for transportation between job sites.
