Job Overview: The HV AC Instructor position reports directly to the Dean for Career and Technical Education and is a 10 ½ -month position. This position works within Career and Technical Education Division of UA-EACC, and will provide high school instruction, college instruction, and customized training for industry partners in HV AC. This position is responsible for developing curriculum, assessment of institution/program/course learning objectives, and evaluating, coordinating and conducting industry training to suit customer needs. The duties of this position will be performed in support of the vision and mission of UA-EACC. Additional duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to academic advising, service on college committees, maintaining class and training records, and holding scheduled office hours. This position will also be involved in program planning, as well as student recruitment (secondary/postsecondary) and retention. Many of the activities associated with customized training and local HVAC competitions, may occur on weekends or at varying times of the day. Qualifications: An Associate in Applied Science Degree in HV AC or a graduate of a certified trade school is preferred. Minimum requirement is 3 - 5 years progressive work experience in HVAC. Applicant must have all current EPA certifications OR be willing to achieve certification within an agreed upon time.
