The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Master HVAC Technician to work at Fort Eisenhower GA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the INSCOM G4 mission. Primary Responsibilities • Perform inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance. Cleans, lubricates, and repacks the working parts of the system. • Tracks performance of routine and preventative maintenance to ensure availability of HVAC systems and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgement to locate malfunctions. • Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections and produce reports in writing through computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) regarding malfunctioning/inoperable equipment. • Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve issues. Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs. • Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems with complex problems and extensive repairs. • Independently perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pump, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment but not limited to HVAC control and monitoring systems. • Installs, modifies, overhauls, repairs, and maintains a variety of complex HVAC equipment air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment. • Performs design, modification, maintenance and repair of critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs). • Provides critical advanced technical knowledge in support of unique security requirements inherent in Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)operations including sound baffling techniques/equipment and the resolution of compromising electrical currents, as sustainment of high system availability rates. Basic Qualifications • College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of 10 years’ education and experience leading to licensure as a Master HVAC, or equivalent licensure or certification at a State level; or 12 years’ experience in an equivalent Military HVAC training/certification • Specific experience in fault isolation and resolution of tactical and strategic environmental systems and their sophisticated electronic support systems. • Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc. • 4 years’ experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components. • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). • Expert level experience in design, installation and sustainment of computer controlled environmental systems in mobile secure facilities. • Required to meet US Government accepted and industry standards criteria for technically complex computer environmental systems, uninterrupted power distribution systems, and power control equipment. • Possess a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification. • US Citizen. Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704. Job Title: HVAC Service Technician Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) Reports To: Service Manager or Manager of Technical Operations Work Schedule: Monday – Friday- based on customer needs Position Purpose: The primary purpose of the HVAC Service Technician is to provide preventative maintenance, start-up, warranty, and repair services on light commercial and industrial air conditioning equipment. Knowledge / Experience / Critical Skills • Education/Experience – Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. • Minimum of Three (3) years related experience preferred. • Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software preferred. • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and short correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. Ability to understand data presented in a graphical format such as pie charts, bar graphs, etc. • Ability to recognize problems and develop the most cost effective solution. Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Must pass pre-hire requirements including background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening. • Must possess valid drivers’ license. • Must possess EPA mandated card for safe refrigerant handling. Universal certification preferred. Refrigeration HVAC Technician

JOB PURPOSE To repair refrigeration and HVAC mechanical and electrical systems throughout retail locations to support operations and minimize product loss, while ensuring partner satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain refrigeration and HVAC for a group of retail locations. • Repair equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner that exceeds customers' expectations. • Establish effective regular communication with Site Management to ensure they are kept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities . • Liaise with Site Management team to ensure that all planned maintenance activities are communicated effectively including diagnosing equipment malfunctions and any operating deficiency of the mechanical equipment to ensure quality work performance. • Provide all required job updates on a timely basis. • Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking and repairs. • Maintain all assets for which you have responsibility to the highest standards. • Perform refrigeration/HVAC preventive maintenance checks in a timely manner as assigned. • Monitor and log refrigerant usage within assigned stores. • Maintain clean and safe conditions in machine and electrical rooms. • Communicate as needed with retail store location personnel to maintain refrigerated product integrity. • Participate in company's "on call" after hours emergency call program. • Assist with trouble shooting problems. • Complete equipment inventories as assigned. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. • Act in accordance with all company policies & procedures. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum Qualifications • Possesses a valid driver's license with a good driving record. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience with rack systems, displays cases and walk-ins highly preferred. • Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC systems, or equivalent work experience. • EPA certified for refrigerant handling class I & II, or universal. • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. • Ability to understand and follow English instructions. • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same. • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check. • In-depth working knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems preferred. • Demonstrated basic computer skills, Refrigeration Controller Technology, Microsoft Outlook and Excel. • Demonstrated self-motivation and successful experience in previous jobs and responsibilities. • Above average troubleshooting and guest service skills. • Ability to multitask, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions quickly. • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills. • High standard of integrity and reliability.
