HVAC Technician and Installer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Set Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems. This role requires an understanding of refrigeration and heating systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The HVAC Installer will work closely with customers to ensure their heating and cooling needs are met with high-quality service. Responsibilities • Set, start, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot issues related to refrigeration and air conditioning. • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate installation and repairs. • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC systems into building designs. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations. HVAC Technician II

As an HVAC technician II, you will perform basic maintenance, including filter and fan motor replacement, and troubleshoot drains, fan and blower motors, heaters, contactors, reversing valves, compressors, and TXVs. Repairs and replacements (e.g., refrigerant piping, drain piping, wiring, and charging) will occur on commercial 1–40-ton, 5–40-ton and residential 1–5-ton systems. Responsibilities include adhering to schedules and timelines, coordinating with assigned staff to accomplish tasks, and advising your supervisor when emergencies arise and assistance from other trades is required. You will read and interpret blueprints, complete work order requests, and document issues that need correction in the work order system. Additionally, you will follow all OSHA and SCAD policies, procedures, and safety practices. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the principles of air distribution and the refrigeration cycle. They possess a clear understanding of both high and low voltage components and their functions, along with electrical components and control systems such as Siemens, Carrier i-Vu, and Trane Tracer. The candidate works well independently with minimal direction, consistently maintains a professional appearance, and is available on call to address emergency situations. Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a HVAC Chiller Technician to join a leading mechanical services company located in Savannah, GA through a 100% onsite role. The HVAC Chiller Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC & chiller systems in data rooms, ensuring optimal performance across a variety of industrial, medical, and commercial facilities. Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, and scroll chillers (Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin). • Troubleshoot HVAC systems using systematic questioning and proper instrumentation. • Conduct chiller overhauls, retrofits, and major inspections as required. • Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance, repairs, and recommendations. • Maintain accurate service records and ensure all safety and limit controls are properly set. • Operate within Building Management Systems and interpret schematics for system analysis.
