Industrial Electrician - 3rd Shift - Pay up to $35/hr Job Description We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for a 3rd shift position in Canton, OH. The role follows a 2-2-3-3 schedule, working 7 PM to 7 AM, with alternating weekly hours of 36 and 48. Your primary responsibilities will include the installation and repair of electrical systems and components within industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities • Install and repair electrical systems, devices, and components of industrial machinery. • Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines, such as robots and conveyors. • Connect power supply wires and cables between machines and equipment. • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures. • Troubleshoot PLC programming and various communication formats. • Replace faulty electrical components like relays, switches, motors, and sensors. • Diagnose and replace faulty components, including printed circuit boards. • Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors. • Plan and install wiring layouts, conduits, and electrical devices in buildings. • Work with 480V 3 Phase electricity and high voltage up to 138KV. • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. • Occasionally work in wet/humid conditions with fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Essential Skills • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing machinery in a manufacturing environment. • Proficiency with 480V systems. • PLC troubleshooting skills. • Ability to read electrical schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Journeyman's card is a plus. • Associate's degree in electrical engineering is advantageous. • Must be open to working at heights, including on lifts for overhead crane repair, using safety harnesses. Equipment can include, but is not limited to: meters, instrument transformers, cluster racks, test switches, test equipment, etc. Job Description What You'll Do: • Receive, inspect, test, adjust, clean, repair, replace parts and subassemblies of single phase and polyphase meters and make incidental calculations. • Test, adjust, repair and program all types of single phase, network and poly phase meters, • Assist in the testing and maintenance of all electronic metering equipment as assigned • Check company inventory regularly and assist in maintaining adequate stock of meters and other equipment. Participate in annual physical meter inventory. • Assist in testing load research, time of use and electronic data recorders and more complex electronic metering equipment • Mount and wire meters, metering equipment and instrument transformers. • Assist in the testing of instrument transformers • Develop computer skills and apply them to assigned work. • Use and care for shop tools, test equipment, portable measuring instruments, and other equipment used in meter lab work. • Calibrate, repair and test standards, instruments, controls and equipment as assigned • Maintain testing records, as required • Learn to calibrate and repair capacitor, voltage regulator, electronic recloser controls. • Provide training and support to other employees as assigned • Assist employees of equal or higher classification • Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For: • Education requirements are listed below: Must have a two year associate degree in electrical/electronic technology. • Work Experience requirement listed below: None expected for this level of progression. • Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver license.
