Akron Area Company is seeking an Industrial Electrician to troubleshoot electrical circuits, power distribution, and PLC / HMI controls on production machinery and facility to include: extruders, mills, mixers, and industrial lighting. Requirements High School Graduate and electrician apprenticeship program completed 1+ years' of industrial electrician experience Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V industrial machinery circuits Experience installing Allen-Bradley PLCs, Human Machine Interface, and Control Networks Mechanical aptitude working with hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and mechanical repair is a plus Good problem solving & troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities: • Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings. • Bend, cut, and thread conduit. • Pull wire through conduit and terminate electrical panels, outlets, switches, and fixtures. • Inspect electrical systems and equipment for safety, functionality, and code compliance. • Use a variety of testing equipment to ensure the safety and proper operation of electrical systems. • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). • Collaborate effectively with other contractors, project managers, and site personnel. Qualifications: • Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings. • Must be able to measure and cut conduit to specs using a manual hydraulic bender to shape conduit. • Must be familiar with EMT, PVC, and Rigid. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Reliable transportation to and from job site. • Must possess own basic set of electrician's hand tools.
