Electrical Project Manager

This position is located at our Derwent, Ohio office. The Electrical Project Manager (PM) is responsible for, and shall exhibit extreme ownership of, all aspects of the assigned projects. The PM position requires a great deal of attention to detail, planning, foresight, a high degree of self-motivation and discipline, high initiative, and trust. The PM’s responsibility begins upon project award and is carried out through project closeout. The PM is responsible for the overall successful completion of multiple electrical projects running simultaneously. Responsibilities • Maintain an environment focused on Bi-con Services, Inc.’s safety culture. • Leadership and direction of projects including but not limited to; safety, quality, customer relations, project management, budgets, productivity, and scheduling. • Measure and report effectiveness of projects and recommend and implement measures to improve safety, efficiency, quality of service, workforce utilization and equipment performance. • Accountable for the development and execution of project planning to include but not limited to; safety, productivity, staffing, capacity, etc. • Manages the impact of delays on projects. • Obtains relationship with customer representatives and assesses impact and cost control measures. • Ensures projects operate at maximum standards for production, quality, NEC compliance and attendance. • Responsible for project cost including but not limited to; planning, material, man hours, revenue and productivity objectives. • Communicate and interact with other divisions in the business in order to facilitate efficient work flow. • Work with employees on layoffs, job site locations and scheduling work hours. • Attend and participate in the monthly safety call • Turn in 1 Take 5 observations per month • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • 5+ years in the electrical, construction or project management field with demonstrated skills and substantial knowledge of the electrical or construction industry. • 2 year technical degree with a focus in project management, construction management, engineering or commensurate experience. • Work will involve being in an office setting and weekly field site visits. • Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task in a high-volume, deadline driven environment. • Demonstrated project, staff management and leadership development skills. • Ability to successfully operate in cross-functional partnerships and teams. • Excellent problem solving, time management and decision-making skills. • Ability to write reports, process forms, interpret policies/procedures, create data for making oral presentations. Electrical Controls Engineer

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. Functions performed may include determining the machines, equipment, tools, and the sequence of operations necessary to perform production and assembly operations; recommending the design of production machines and other plant equipment; and advising and assisting vendors with design problems about tools, gauges and equipment designed for use in manufacturing. Utilize troubleshooting methodology to identify root cause and apply appropriate corrective action to mitigate issue. Provide electrical/ controls guidance to manufacturing engineers in the selection and procurement of electrical instruments. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Develop and maintain the plants manufacturing control and data acquisition systems. Develop and integrate operator interfaces between manufacturing systems and users. Support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including PLC programming, interface systems, and PC controlled systems. Revise equipment programs as necessary to support manufacturing process improvements. Develops the planned maintenance of all manufacturing electrical infrastructure. Train designated personnel in the operation and maintenance of programmable logic controllers and manufacturing networks. Manage Projects from: Prepare appropriation requests for the specification and purchase of new equipment and systems. Develops budget(s) and timelines Facilitates cross functional work teams Prepare TS16949 compliant instructions and necessary documentation. Function as the liaison with manufacturing engineering on all equipment control and motion issues Performs other duties as directed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology field EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Five years’ experience in manufacturing or product engineering. Experience working with Allen Bradley, PLCs, HMIs, and RSLogix software Experience with programming and troubleshooting servo systems Experience with Robot interface (Motoman preferred) Knowledge and experience with National Instrument Labview Knowledge of vision systems, Cognex and Keyence preferred Demonstrates ability to manage a project(s) from conception through completion.
