SUMMARY OF POSITION: Maintain, improve, and install electrical wiring and schematics for plant and facility equipment. Work with Millwrights in the installation of new equipment and attachments . Troubleshoot electrical issues to identifify root cause and take the appropriate action to correct issue. Respond quickly to down time with appropriate electrical troubleshooting. The incumbent must be capable of handling many different responsibilities simultaneously while monitoring the ever changing priorities. He or she must be sure that all details are given the proper amount of attention when required, so as to not sacrifice one task for that of another. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provide electrical support for new and existing machines by means of reading schematics, troubleshooting, and installing new wires and electrical fixtures. Implement repairs and/or improvements on existing processes and equipment. Assist Electrical Engineer in electrical projects or improvements Work with 120, 220, 420 volt circuits Required to work with electrical circuits and sensors Assist in performing safety analyses on supported equipment. Minimum Education Requirements: High School Dilploma or equivalent Journey Man’s card Minimum Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment, working on heavy machines, industrial wiring, and troubleshooting. Shift: 3rd Shift What You’ll Do • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. • Performs preventive maintenance checks on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Applies troubleshooting techniques to plant electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), motors, drives, and relays. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. • Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, ensuring adequate stock and anticipating future needs. • Attends educational workshops, reviews technical publications, and maintains technical knowledge. • Communicates with supervisors to ensure smooth operations and build positive working relationships. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Requires regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per scheduled shift. Who You Are • High School or GED; Technical or Trade School in a related field preferred. • Certification for in-house Crane, Fork Truck operation, and other lift/mobile equipment required. • Some welding experience and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. • Ability to stand for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
