Job Title: Electrician Division: Electrical Reports to: Electrical Project Manager Job Summary: The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and light industrial buildings. This includes running wire, installing electrical panels, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all work meets local and national electrical codes. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities and Duties: • Maintain open communication with the Electrical Project Manager and professional interaction with internal and external customers. • Schedule and complete repairs and installations according to company priorities. • Install new residential, commercial, and industrial service equipment • Perform commercial & industrial troubleshooting, repairs, and installations • Performs accurate daily time sheets · Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code specifications. · Install and connect panels, transformers, switches, receptacles, and lighting systems. · Perform electrical work for HVAC equipment, control wiring, and low-voltage systems. • Maintain and ensure the safe operating condition of assigned equipment and tools according to company policy and OSHA • Perform skilled electrical maintenance and repair in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. • Supervise Electrical Contractors on large projects as assigned by Electrical Project Manager • Follow all company policies • Other duties as assigned Qualification/Skills/Requirements: • Current Driver’s License and have reliable transportation • High School Graduate or holder of GED • Four years of previous electrical experience • One year foreman experience preferred • Positively identify colors of wires • Comprehends drawings, prints and schematics • Bend conduit by hand with benders • Must be able to use all power tools, saw, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches • Capable of digging trenches • Operate equipment in a safe manner • Ability to use electronic devices and programs (tablet, phone, email, etc.) for communication and documentation • Practices and comprehends safe work procedures per Company Policy • Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammer • Operate company trucks • Reads and interprets maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprint, and written instructions • Operate and work from all types of lifts • Work on energized circuits and equipment with Company Management approval as outlined in Safety Policy Education Requirements: · High School Diploma or GED (required). · Completion of a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program (typically 4–5 years). · Trade school, technical school, or community college coursework in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electricity, or a related field (preferred but not always required if apprenticeship is completed).
