The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frame carpentry and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Framer, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling the framework of buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications. This role requires proficiency with power tools and an understanding of various construction techniques, including roofing and siding. Responsibilities • Construct and assemble wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs. • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. • Utilize power tools effectively and safely to cut, shape, and join materials. • Perform restoration work as needed to maintain structural integrity. • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion. • Install siding and stucco as part of the finishing process. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Requirements • Proven experience in frame carpentry or a related field. • Proficiency in using power tools and other construction equipment. • Knowledge of construction management principles is a plus. • Ability to read and understand schematics accurately. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively. • Familiarity with roofing techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. JOB DESCRIPTION The incumbent will be responsible for designing, installing and repairing rough wooden structures, including: scaffolds, guardrail, concrete forms, sewer supports and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. Travel may be required. This role is classified as safety sensitive.
