Experienced Commercial Carpenter/Foreman

Seeking an experienced commercial construction Carpenter/Foreman. Preference to those with a minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience and OSHA 10 or 30 certifications. We mostly build in the OKC Metro area. However, we do have some projects outside of the Metro but still in Oklahoma. We are looking for someone that meets the following criteria: • Installation of Division 8 and Division 10 specialties. • Knowledge and ability to perform other miscellaneous installations such as rough carpentry, concrete, insulation, and drywall applications. • Ability to proficiently navigate through construction documents (plans, project manual, reports, etc.) • Uphold safety standards in accordance with OSHA. • Communicate and coordinate with the Project Managers and office. • Ability to receive instructions and directions. • Ability to use smartphones and/or tablets for daily reporting, time sheets, etc. • Confidence in problem solving and decision making. • Self-disciplined and organized. • Uphold quality standards to meet and exceed contractual obligations and client expectations. Trim Finish Carpenter

Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring a local Trim/Finish Carpenter to start a project in Oklahoma City, OK Monday June 9th. Qualified candidates will be responsible for executing high-quality finish work on various construction projects including but not limited to Apple stores, Under Armor, William-Sonoma and Pottery Barn ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards. Upon successful completion of this location additional projects with per diem are available. Trim/Finish Carpenter Responsibilities • Precision millwork • Trim/finish carpentry tasks including installation of trim, molding, and cabinetry. • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications set by project managers. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. • Measure, cut, and shape wood materials accurately for various applications. • Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise. Trim/Finish Carpenter Requirements • Proven experience as a finish carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. • Past experience working in retail construction required • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills. • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Carpenter Maintenance

The incumbent performs carpentry duties necessary to maintain exterior and interiors of Tinker AFB structures, to include installations, new construction, replacements, repairs and finishes. Incumbent carpentry duties include repairs and maintenance of equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, walls, casings and trim made of wood. Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements. Responsibilities • Planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models or verbal. • Uses a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments. • Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of workspaces. • Selects appropriate materials necessary for the Installation of temporary controls for safety and security. • Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions. • Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used and hours worked on each assigned work order. • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback. • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle. • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment. • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties. • Performs other related duties as needed. • Makes work assignment to ensure contract objective is accurate, timely, and cost-effective performance of working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers. • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Akima related matters. • Accountable for assigned tools and materials. Qualifications • Must have a three (3) years minimum experience in general carpentry. • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency. • Must have a current state driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of valid insurance. • Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications. • Must be able to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision. • Must have the ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards. • Must be familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable. • Must have the ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations. • Must be proficiency and possess the knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools. • Must demonstrate a working ability read, write, speak and understand English. • Must have a minimum of five (5+) years' experience in general carpentry. • Must have carpentry maintenance experience in commercial, industrial and public facilities, preferred. • Must use manufacture publications, codes, regulations, and facilities as-built data to identify construction methods and materials required. • Must possess the basic computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office applications. • Must have military experience. • Must have prior experience working on a military installation. • Experience working on Tinker facilities is a plus. • Must have familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
