Commercial Concrete Carpenter General Description: Responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks associated with prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing of concrete. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms, symon forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages and other cast-in-place concrete structures. Responsibilities: • Ability to read and understand drawings and prints. • Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for the construction of concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated concrete slabs, elevator cores, stairways, etc. • Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations and may aid in installing reinforcing steel. • Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms. • Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenters level, laser and/or digital transit. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. • Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any safety hazards identified. • Ensure equipment is all in safe working condition. • May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring. • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines. • Assist with placement of concrete as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Posting closes on 10/16/2025 Under general supervision, this position performs inspection of contractors' work, including documentation of contractors' work, entry-level survey duties, assisting with the staking and layout of highway construction and performing basic tests of materials. Minimum Requirements Education and experience: The educational equivalent to a diploma from an accredited high school. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of fractions and decimals, computation of areas). Basic computer skills (operation of a PC and familiarity with Windows operating system). Physical requirements: Ability to use various types of hand tools. Ability to traverse rugged terrain, climb up and down hills and grades as well as in and out of vehicles. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Working conditions: Must travel frequently to various locations within the District. Description: The Director of Construction Operations – Multifamily Division is responsible for leading construction execution across the company’s growing multifamily portfolio. This role oversees the GC bid/selection process and monitors all construction operations on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
