Job Title: Carpenter Location: Texarkana, TX Hours: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay: $16 - $18 per hour, based on experience Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team in Texarkana, TX, for a 4-6 month assignment but could go perm for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various carpentry techniques and capable of completing high-quality work within specified timeframes. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements. • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood and wood substitutes. • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, molding, and doors, using carpenter's tools. • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. • Conduct repair work and general maintenance for existing structures. • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on construction sites. • Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals. • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and within the allotted time frame. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a carpenter. • Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and carpentry tools (saws, hammers, rulers, etc.). • Ability to read technical documents and drawings. • Good physical condition and endurance. • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus. • Valid driver's license.
