Utility Construction- Laborer

This team member will serve as a laborer and perform various skilled manual labor tasks such as installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining water and sewer lines and appurtenances. Must be knowledgeable in methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the installation, replacement, maintenance, and repair of utility lines; the safe use and operation and preventative maintenance of common automotive and mechanical equipment. Ability to operate assigned equipment with skill and safety, perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tools, keep simple records, develop and maintain relationships with peers across departments; multi-task to organize and prioritize a changing work schedule to meet the needs of the department; follow oral and written instructions; effectively communicate both orally and in written form. Subject to on-call and call-back work. Must possess a high school diploma/GED plus one (1) or more years of experience in utility maintenance and/or construction OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

Pilot Car Driver / Flagger

About the position Responsibilities • Manage traffic flow in construction zones as a pilot car driver. • Set up warning signs and cones to ensure safety in work areas. • Communicate effectively with drivers and construction personnel to ensure safety protocols are followed. • Assist in directing vehicles and pedestrians safely through construction sites. • Be willing to work out of town depending on contract locations.
