We offer competitive compensation, employer-sponsored health insurance, Voluntary benefits, 401k with company match, Paid Time Off Responsibilities: • Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work. • Design and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation. • Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures. • Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style. • Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job. • Liaise with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals. • Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations. • Mentor and supervise less experienced carpenters on the team. • Inspect other carpenters’ work to ensure the quality and craftsmanship meet our standards. Skills: • Experience giving direction and instruction to coworkers. • Proven experience as carpenter. • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials. • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (power saws, hammers, rulers etc.). • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and technical documents.
