Opportunity available for an experienced concrete form carpenter. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job site, located in the Shreveport / Bossier City area. Duties include but are not limited to building and manipulating large wooden concrete forms, large concrete steel forms, boards, planks, and plywood, cutting materials, hauling materials, hand grinding, checking string lines, preparation for concrete placement and dismantling after concrete placement, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities. Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, on rough terrain, frequently at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, able to read a tape measure, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards. Able to work with various types of hand tools such as drills, power saws, hammers, and wrenches. Must have experience in the road or industrial construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, able to read blueprints, perform simple mathematical equations, read a tape measure, and understand directions. Some knowledge of rigging and crane signaling required. Must be devoted and reliable. Boh Bros. is a union contractor. All wages and benefits are determined by the union agreement. All new hires will be paid 90% of the journeyman scale for the first 300 hours of employment.

Sands finishes, refinishes, varnishes and stains all types of furniture and other finished articles of wood. Measures and precisely cuts a variety of artificial mate rails such as plastic, particle-board, Formica etc. Canes and upholsters furniture. Makes knives to produce special moldings and operates a planer, shaper, jointer, and work lathe, drill press, mortising, boring, and tensioning machines, jig saws, rip saws and cut-off saws. Installs and fits fine trim workaround lights, electrical fixtures, doors, windows and other outlets. Estimates time and material for carpentry projects to be completed. Inspects and approves work of contractual employee's. Lays out, surveys and constructs all manner of detailed carpentry projects from shop drawings or blue prints. Installs and repairs locks. Finishes high grade carpentry projects. Mortises doors and other construction related detailed work. Lays out and installs all types of floor tile including resilient tile. Estimates supplies needed for completion of specified projects. Provides guidance for subordinate Carpenters and trades personnel as needed.
