PALA Interstate, LLC Summary Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard and pre-manufactured forms (Simon Forms, etc.) using hand tools and power tools. Reads, studies and interprets job specifications, plans and blue prints. Uses basic math skills including geometry, trigonometry to make calculations for work. Can complete difficult job tasks according to job specifications with minimal or no supervision. Essential Functions 1. Reads and studies blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. 2. Selects and transports appropriate materials and tools for job. 3. Measures boards, timbers, plywood or other materials using a square, tape and/or ruler and marks cutting lines on material. 4. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels and planes. 5. Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, glue or dowel pins. 6. Braces forms in place with timbers, tie-rods, and anchor bolts for use in building concrete piers, footings and walls. 7. Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete. 8. Builds false work to temporarily strengthen, protect or disguise buildings undergoing construction. 9. Verifies trueness of structure with plumb bob and/or carpenter’s level. 10. Erects and disassembles scaffolding up to 75 ft. high, installs ladders, handrails, toeboards, walkways, platforms and gangways. 11. Builds a variety of wooden structures needed on job site i.e., benches, tables, lunch/rest tents, etc. 12. Operates survey equipment to ensure accuracy. 13. Cleans scaffold yard and work areas. 14. Utilizes basic math skills while doing surveys and for measurement and assembly of structures. Required Education and Experience: • Minimum Four years’ experience in Carpentry work. • NCCER Industrial Carpenter Certification strongly desired. • Must pass our in-house Carpenter Assessment Test Preferred Education and Experience • High School or GED preferred but not required. • Trade School program preferred but not required. Carpenter - Shreveport / Bossier City Area

Opportunity available for an experienced concrete form carpenter. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job site, located in the Shreveport / Bossier City area. Duties include but are not limited to building and manipulating large wooden concrete forms, large concrete steel forms, boards, planks, and plywood, cutting materials, hauling materials, hand grinding, checking string lines, preparation for concrete placement and dismantling after concrete placement, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities. Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, on rough terrain, frequently at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, able to read a tape measure, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards. Able to work with various types of hand tools such as drills, power saws, hammers, and wrenches. Must have experience in the road or industrial construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, able to read blueprints, perform simple mathematical equations, read a tape measure, and understand directions. Monitors, evaluates and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Operates equipment and materials following OEM guidelines as well as standard operating procedures.
