A day in the life at Daniels can look like: • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to construct and repair structures. • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials with precision using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. • Ensure projects meet building codes, regulations, and customer specifications. • Operate safely by adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines and best practices. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project completion. • Keep the project site clean and appearance professional daily. • Prepare site for appropriate work tasks. • Layout and put work in place with minimal direction during construction. • Accurately complete daily work hours in timekeeping system. This includes using appropriate job numbers, work codes, and equipment allocations. • Capacity to learn and continually improve Other duties may include: • Install hollow metal door frames. • Erect and work on scaffolding, ladder, and platform, maintaining safety protocols. • Perform demolition of interior/exterior build out in designated areas as assigned with respect towards equipment, property, and safety. • Install steel stud and/or wood framing. • Install drywall, and drywall repair. • Install cabinets, windows, trim (internal/external), doors (internal/external), hardware, etc. • Install siding. Safety • Attend and participate in all required safety training and toolbox talks. • Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company's safety program (particularly the use of hardhats, safety glasses, and work boots and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture. • Demonstrate a safety presence, lead by example.
