The Department of Facilities Management provides a campus environment that is conducive to working and learning, through systematic maintenance, repair, and renovation and construction of campus buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. Essential functions include but are not limited to: 1. Repairs, restores, and makes minor repairs to various types of building infrastructure systems including windows, frames, baseboards, interior molding, walls, doorframes, etc. 2. Ensures all maintenance efforts are in compliance with city and state code, and agency regulations. 3. Performs preventative maintenance, inspects building infrastructures; creates photographic documentation. 4. Cleans roof drains, removes debris, and performs general carpentry tasks as assigned. 5. Reads schematics, blueprints and various structure diagrams in efforts to ascertain the status and efforts needed in repairing/maintaining various infrastructures. 6. Climb ladders and perform routine inspections. 7. Work independently on assignments of various scale. 8. Utilize tools, including hammers, power tools, ladders, measuring tape, mixing machines, electric saws, and other construction industry tools. 9. Interface effectively, both verbally and in writing, and provide quality customer service. 10. Respond to emergencies, both before and after business hours. 11. Must be able to occasionally lift objects up of 50 pounds unassisted.
