Job Responsibilities • Constructing or installing the structural supports, baseboards, stair rails, etc., used in residential or commercial buildings. • Various manual labor duties as assigned, ability to pick up/lift and move 50lbs., climb ladders • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout all phases of work. Overview We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic team. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction sites. As a Concrete Finisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing. Responsibilities • Prepare and clean surfaces for concrete pouring by removing debris and ensuring proper alignment. • Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and power tools. • Finish concrete surfaces using various techniques such as troweling, smoothing, and edging. • Install forms for concrete structures and ensure they are properly aligned and secured. • Apply sealants, caulking, and other finishing materials as needed. • Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and flooring installers to ensure project specifications are met. • Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with standards. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the construction industry. • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in concrete finishing. • Knowledge of plastering techniques is a plus. • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations may be beneficial for transporting materials. • Experience in frame carpentry is advantageous for understanding structural requirements. • Ability to perform construction estimating to assess material needs for projects. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions. • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on construction sites.
