TITLE: Carpenter WAGE: $20-$30/hr dependent upon experience Here is what we are looking for: • Be kind, professional and timely. • Must have a valid Driver’s license • Requires ability to set up jobsite without supervision • Must know basic arithmetic and geometry and understand basic lineal and cubic measurements • Must be able to read blueprints effectively • Must be able to use a level in all aspects of job • Must have ability to teach and train other employees • Requires knowledge of construction material, strengths, reinforcements and company processes. • Must be able to handle adverse weather conditions • Must be able to operate equipment per operation guidelines to include safety procedures • Note: Condition of Employment is determined by employee qualifications, and approval of (post offer) pre-employment physical, drug testing, skill assessment testing, required licensing / certification to perform the essential functions of the job, MVR (motor vehicle report), and certificate of insurance. • Properly complete and submit all necessary and required paperwork once the job is completed • Keep work area and jobsite clean and safe • Perform all assignments/jobs according to company procedure • Use time management and leadership skills to improve performance and labor figures • Detect when job is not ready for the required task informs management and correct the situations as advised to do so • Places company equipment and tools in proper place • Aware of material cost and work to minimize waste • Keep all tools organized and clean • Cleans and reloads company tools on company trucks and trailers, and ensure no tools or equipment are left on jobsite • Shows respect for all company equipment used • Accepts changes or mistakes and uses them to improve future performance • Reports to appropriate management team members any deviation from safety, budgeting, or scheduling guidelines that may become potential liabilities or client complaints • Perform other duties as outlined by management • Ensure company and customer satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication. • Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company’s time, manpower and materials on each project as included in project estimate sheets. • Ensure the image of the company is supported and maintained • Seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person

Under the guidance of your crew foreman you will: • Learn, keep current with and apply the Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards • Read, understand and build according to construction plans • Utilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct buildings • Efficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and other doors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials and mortarless masonry units, finishing with metal and wood trims • Work with other crew personnel in a safe, organized, productive and enjoyable work environment treating everyone with dignity and respect QUALIFICATIONS • Building construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experience preferred (on the job or in school) • Willingness to participate in and complete a training program • A valid driver’s license is preferred • Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season. • Ability to take direction • Produce quality work in an efficient manner • Agree to comply with all our safety processes and procedures • Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner • Ability to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectively • Standard weight lifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 40 feet) • Possess good communication skills - both written and verbal • This position requires 5% travel (based on 52 weeks), which includes overnight travel possibly up to two weeks at a time.
