Job Type: Full-time As a Carpenter/Skilled Laborer at Kingery, we expect you to be reliable, motivated, detail-oriented, hardworking, and able to arrange your own transportation. You should excel in carpentry, including formwork and rough carpentry, be skilled with power tools, have proficiency in selective demolition, and comply with company policies and OSHA guidelines. From the initial conceptual development to the completion, you will be responsible for: • Operate and maintain construction equipment. • Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and skilled labor as needed. • Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and hazards. • Handle loading and unloading of materials. • Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, like scaffolding. • Excavate, fill, or compact earth. • Support craft workers. • On-the-job training. • Understanding of construction design, technical plans, blueprints, and models. • Ability to read plans, use mathematics for layout, and problem-solve effectively. • Proficiency in English for communication and instruction comprehension. • Strong organizational skills with goal-setting abilities. • Traveling to job sites as required. Qualifications • Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. • Safely operate sharp tools and power equipment. • Work in diverse weather conditions and terrains. • Possess manual dexterity, balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. • Demonstrate physical strength, stamina, and balance for various job tasks. • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull loads of similar weight. • Stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to eight hours daily while handling materials.
