The carpenter position will also work with process piping and process equipment installations. Duties and Responsibilities: • Set, align and verify the correct placement of forms for footings, walls, columns, and decks • Assist with placing and finishing to ensure successful concrete pours • Perform layout for various construction activities • Maintain company tools and equipment in good working and safe order • Work with pipe laborers and operators on underground piping, process piping, and process equipment • Lead installation of building components, such as doors, windows, and interior systems • Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications and Requirements: • Experience in the construction industry as a carpenter or carpenter assistant • Experience with pile driving and sheet piling a plus • General layout skills and basic math skills required • Some blueprint reading may be required • Ability to work effectively as part of a team Physical Requirements/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools and/or power equipment. • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
