Work Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Salary Range: $19.00 - $30.50 Union Position: No Department Details Summary The Carpenter is responsible for all carpentry tasks and assists the construction and facilities services staff with all aspects of constructing and remodeling. Job Description Familiar with all tools associated with the trade. Capable of working from blueprints and sketches. Knowledge of codes, cost estimates, and ability to interpret specifications helpful. Capable of accurate written and oral communication involving procedures, situations, and equipment. Constructs, erects, installs, and repair structures and fixtures. Assists with flooring, ceiling installation and systems, cabinets and millwork, wall protection, doors and hardware, wall covering removal, wall and floor expansion joints, marker boards, tack boards, modular furniture, clocks, and interior signage. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roll insulation. Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools. Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically, keep tools out of reach of children. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade or Vocational School preferred. Civil Carpenter/Carpenter Apprentice - Primoris Industrial & Civil

About the position Primoris Industrial & Civil is seeking skilled Civil Carpenter Apprentices for a project in Hastings, Nebraska. The project is expected to last until the end of the year, and the work schedule consists of five days a week with 10-hour shifts daily from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of additional hours if needed. Candidates must successfully pass a craft test, drug screen, physical examination, and a background check to be considered for this position. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in construction, installation, and fabrication of form structures of wood, patent form systems, or a combination of both. A commitment to safety and quality is essential for success in this position. Additionally, the role qualifies for per diem when per diem requirements are met. The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, fabricating, dismantling, and repairing structures, formwork, and fixtures made of wood, metal forms, and associated accessories. The position requires compliance with company and client safety rules, as well as OSHA standards. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, cutting and shaping materials, joining them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue, and checking completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and the correct size, shape, and location. The Carpenter will also build and assemble concrete forms and shelters for welding and other weather-sensitive work, attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings, and may perform other duties as assigned.
