Campus Maintenance staff have technical expertise in all trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, mechanics, HVAC, repair work, relocation, and grounds. Services include the operation, maintenance, repair and remodeling of university buildings and grounds and the operation and repair of certain types of equipment. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Job Responsibilities: In this role, you'll take on a variety of hands-on tasks carpentry tasks, including: • Installing windows, doors, framing, siding, trim, flooring, roofing, ceilings, partitions, and other building components. • Replacing or repairing a variety of building elements including stair treads, handrails, ceilings, sheetrock, siding, and roofing. • Remodeling spaces including demolition and construction of interior walls. • Building and/or installing cabinets, shelves, frames, trim, and countertops. • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical information.
