Carpenter Foreman

As a Commercial Carpentry Foreman, you will oversee and manage carpentry projects on commercial construction sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in coordinating the efforts of your team, liaising with other trades, and ensuring that all carpentry work aligns with the project specifications and building codes. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpentry crew members on commercial construction projects. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. • Ensure all carpentry work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations. • Schedule and assign daily tasks to carpentry crew, ensuring efficient use of resources and time. • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders. • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety protocols and company policies are being followed. • Train and mentor carpentry apprentices and less experienced crew members. • Collaborate with other trade foremen, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution. • Maintain inventory of materials and order supplies as needed. • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction. • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and in safe working condition. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Carpentry Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in commercial construction. • Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry. • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Certification in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
