Job Full DescriptionExpress Employment in Platteville has partnered with a local business in Plain WI to search for candidates to support their business in a Carpenter role. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Kraemer Safety and Quality Programs by working safely Construct form work used for forming concrete structures prior to bridge/dam construction Perform basic carpentry tasks and repairs on tool vans, heating houses, and storage containers Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures Accurately measure materials with proper measuring tools Make decisions based on verifiable standards Prepare layouts, mark cuttings/assembly line on materials, assemble cuts, stand up framework Pre-cut studs for concrete formwork and bracing Assist with layout and elevation survey Conduct standard rigging activities Requirements: Previous experience as a carpenter preferred Knowledge of and ability to safely operate equipment (lifts), hand and power tools Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints Ability to work with a variety of wood related products Repetitive use of hands and wrists with various tools, including fine motor movements/manipulations Ability to work at various heights utilizing appropriate PPE Ability to walk on uneven ground, be exposed to cold/hot temperatures, dusty/dirty/greasy surroundings.
