Finish Carpenter

Candidates for the finish carpenter position will have 2-5 years finish carpentry experience. Candidates must possess a current driver’s license and be willing to travel throughout the state of Kentucky, including overtime and overnight stays as required. Effective communication skills and time management are a must. High school diploma or equivalent with related vocational training are preferred but not required. This position is responsible for traveling to jobsites to install commercial construction materials. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, installation of finish carpentry, millwork, standing and running trim, casework, cabinets, countertops, laboratory casework and equipment, etc. Finish carpenter will read blueprints, take measurements, calculate required materials, assemble, and install raw materials and/or prefabricated items, possess a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM with travel, overnight stays, and overtime required as needed; position requires full-time work primarily taking place on active jobsites. PPE is required (high-visibility shirts/vest, safety glasses, gloves and hard hats provided). Exposure to noise and varying weather conditions is to be expected. Candidates should possess the following qualities: • Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times • Excellent communication skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Physical strength to lift heavy objects and work on ladders/lifts • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination • Ability to use hand and power tools • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods • Experience with electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools • Knowledge of construction methods and installation techniques • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents • Basic mathematical skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Basic computer skills Candidates for open positions within the Atlas Companies will display integrity, dependability, proactivity, excellence, and tenacity.
