Purpose The Concrete Carpenter position is responsible for detailed, quality, consistent, and safe assignments in their designated specialty. We are hiring for jobs in the Indianapolis area. Job Responsibilities • Perform work to the standards established for the Concrete Carpentry trade. • Read and interpret plans, schematics, and drawings. Perform work according to the specifics required in these documents. • Effectively and safely use the right trade tools for the projects assigned. • Utilize tools and research required by trade to accomplish quality and timely work assignments. • Continuously investigate methods and means to improve the cost effectiveness and quality of work within the trade. • Provide guidance to unskilled labor to ensure safety and professional project completion. • Analyze projects by working closely with the Foreman in identifying potential issues that may arise prior to quoting and at project take-off. • Work closely with other trades where projects require simultaneous and overlapping trade work. • Perform all work according to safety standards and promote safety on all job sites. Education and Experience • AS in Construction Trade or equivalent trade certification from an accredited program preferred. • 3+ years of hands-on trade experience in flatwork. Skills and Specifications • Knowledgeable with grades and ADA requirements. • Ability to bend, crouch and stand for long periods of time. • Strong knowledge and experience interpreting drawings/project specifications. • Experience at efficiently and safely operating trade tools and equipment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience working effectively in a team environment.
