TRIM CARPENTER

SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in crafting, installing, and repairing wooden fixtures and structures, focusing on interior and exterior trim work. As a Trim Carpenter, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and aesthetic appeal of finished construction projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Installation and Finishing: • * Measure, cut, and assemble materials to construct or repair baseboards, crown molding, doors, window casings, wainscoting, staircases, and other decorative and functional trim elements. • Install cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in furniture as needed. • Blueprint Interpretation: • * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to execute precise measurements and designs. • Material Handling: • * Select, prepare, and use appropriate types of wood, veneers, and composite materials based on project requirements. • Tool Usage: • * Operate hand and power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, routers, and chisels safely and efficiently. • Quality Control: • * Ensure all work meets high-quality standards for fit, finish, and durability. • Repair or replace damaged trim work as required. • Collaboration and Communication: • * Coordinate with contractors, designers, and other trades to ensure project timelines and goals are met. • Communicate effectively to resolve design challenges or material constraints. • Safety and Maintenance: • * Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. • Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure functionality and safety. QUALIFICATIONS: • Proven experience as a Trim Carpenter or in a related carpentry role. • Proficiency in using woodworking tools and equipment. • Strong understanding of wood properties, carpentry techniques, and construction materials. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics. • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and materials. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if job sites require travel).
