Lead Carpenter

Huckins Construction LLC is growing and we are looking to add a Lead Carpenter to our team! Our business is 50% new construction finish work and 50% rehab. We are looking for a lead carpenter that has a variety of experience in construction and has experience in the industry for at least 5 years. Not all skills are required, but a working knowledge in a majority would be needed. Would prefer candidate to have strong skills in: • Drywall install and finishing • Installing Interior and Exterior Doors • Installing Flooring and Tile work • Installing Interior and Exterior Doors • Installing Cabinets • Framing Our Lead Carpenter must be a team player and yet able to also work independently. Looking for someone who is dependable, knowledgeable, and can accomplish projects with little direction. All tools will provided, not required to have your own. Pay is DOE. We currently offer Holiday pay as well as PTO. Carpenter

Immediate hire for job site carpenters to build a 160'x72' with 16' ceiling height pole barn in Niles, MI from ground up. Installation will include trenching and site prep, setting posts for 16' high ceiling, setting 72' long trusses, framing entire building, installing metal roof, metal walls, soffit and facia, misc. construction work, installing fence posts. Qualified applicant will have experience building pole barn type buildings, general carpentry skills, have own hand tools for the trade, be able to pass drug screen, have a valid drivers license, will show up to work everyday and on time or don't apply. Must be able to lift heavy materials and operate boom lifts, must not be afraid of heights as building peak of room will be approximately 35' to peak. Must work well with others. Pay will be based on experience. This job will not be 1099 as you will be on a company payroll. This job will last approximately 2 months with possibililty to extend on other projects in future.
