Be a True Builder. Robins & Morton is looking for a Carpenter to work with us on our various projects and find satisfaction in doing a high quality job. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to help us construct, repair and maintain permanent and temporary structures using both hand and power tools. The candidate must be able to work effectively under the leadership of a jobsite manager. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.) • Take off material quantities accurately. • Build square, level and plumb a specific project task using basic carpentry tools. • Know how to build safety provisions, including but not limited to: Scaffolding, Gang Ladders, Perimeter railings and Fall Protection, Temporary Covers, Inter. • Install interior finish items, including but not limited to: Wall protection, Doors & Hardware, Toilet Accessories, Cubicle Curtain Track, TV Brackets, Lockers, etc. • Use different types of carpentry tools, safely e.g. Saws (Band, circular, jig, reciprocating, chop, compound miter, etc.), Drills (Electric, Cordless, Hammer, etc.), and cutting torches. • Identify and request (If not provided) any and all PPE necessary to perform tasks prior to starting. • Run basic equipment, including but not limited to: All terrain telescoping forklift, back-hoe, skid steer, tractor, etc. • Cut and install interior/exterior wood, metal backing as required. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.) • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Preferred. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in carpentry required (including hanging & taping). • Previous experience in hospital construction preferred. • 2-5 years' experience installing Building Specialties, Cabinets, Windows, Countertops and Commercial Doors, Frames & Hardware (DFH) and/or Division 10 items. • NCCER Training/Certified preferred. • Ability to read construction documents and build a specific task with those provided documents.
