Renovation Carpenter

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our apartment renovation crew. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in occupied and unoccupied apartment units, common areas, and exterior structures. This role requires proficiency in repairs, installations, and finish work to ensure high-quality, timely, and safe completion of renovation projects. Key Responsibilities: • Perform general carpentry tasks including framing, trimming, door and cabinet installation, flooring, baseboards, and crown molding. • Repair or replace damaged woodwork, fixtures, and finishes in apartment units and community spaces. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to carry out renovations according to plan. • Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and effectively. • Collaborate with other renovation team members (painters, electricians, plumbers, maintenance staff) to complete projects on schedule. • Ensure work meets building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations. • Perform demolition, cleanup, and prep work as needed for renovations. • Provide input on material needs, cost estimates, and project timelines. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, minimizing disruption to residents in occupied units. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a carpenter in residential or multifamily renovations. • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools. • Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and measurements. • Proficient with power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment. • Basic understanding of other trades (plumbing, electrical, drywall) is a plus. • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied conditions. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience: • Prior work in apartment renovations, unit turns, or multifamily housing.
