Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and perform high-quality carpentry work on residential and light commercial construction projects. The Lead Carpenter is responsible for managing daily job site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and team members, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, and maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety. Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans. • Supervise and direct a crew of carpenters and laborers on-site. • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim work, door/window installations, and more. • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. • Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and vendors as needed. • Manage materials, tools, and equipment inventory on the job site. • Identify and resolve construction issues in real time. • Maintain detailed daily logs, timecards, and project documentation. • Uphold and promote a safe, clean, and organized job site. Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Proficient in residential framing, interior/exterior trim, cabinetry, tile installation, and structural repairs. • Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. • Strong understanding of OSHA standards and job site safety practices. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
