Lead Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead to oversee and coordinate construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hands-on experience in various aspects of construction, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects. The Lead will play a vital role in guiding project execution from start to finish, utilizing a broad skill set that includes carpentry, remodeling, restoration, and technical expertise in construction processes. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications • Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to perform tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, roofing, siding, drywall installation, and finishing work • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans • Manage material procurement and ensure proper use of resources including rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and fixture installation • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project timelines are met • Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of craftsmanship in areas such as plastering, stucco application, water damage restoration, mold remediation, electrical work, plumbing, cabinetry installation, and metal stud framing • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times • Provide mentorship and training to team members on proper techniques for carpentry, fabrication, restoration industry practices, and the use of specialized tools • Troubleshoot issues on-site related to construction site experience or technical challenges in remodeling or restoration projects Experience • Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction or restoration industry • Extensive hands-on experience with trim carpentry, framing carpentry, roofing, siding installation, drywall finishing (including plastering), cabinetry installation, door hanging, caulking, stucco application, metal stud framing, flooring installation (tile and other materials), electrical wiring (including schematics), plumbing systems repair or installation • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on various projects • Demonstrated ability in blueprint reading and interpreting technical schematics for complex projects • Experience with concrete forming processes and rebar installation for structural work • Background in manufacturing or CNC fabrication is a plus for specialized projects • Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques including mold remediation is desirable • Prior experience leading teams on large-scale remodeling or restoration projects with a focus on quality assurance and safety compliance This position offers an opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead diverse construction initiatives while mentoring team members.
