You will operate related power and hand tools effectively. This full-time, year-round position offers a competitive pay rate of $25.00 - $30.00/hr, based on experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Construct and install door and window framing; install locks, doorknobs, and other hardware • Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and building exteriors • Construct, repair, and refinish wood furniture and fixtures including cabinets, tables, shelving, and bulletin boards • Maintain carpentry tools in optimal condition • Erect, maintain, and dismantle walls and structures • Respond promptly and efficiently to resort work order requests and emergencies • Keep accurate service and repair records • Research, purchase, and manage inventory of tools and supplies • Train and guide other staff as needed • Support department standards and policies • Perform additional duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent required • Technical Diploma, associate degree, or two years of college coursework preferred • Experience: 2 to 4 years in carpentry or a related field QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS • Fundamental carpentry skills, including interpreting sketches and using hand and power tools • Knowledge of Vermont Building Code and safety practices • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively, both written and verbal • Willingness to complete required trainings TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: • A vehicle is provided for travel within the mountain.
