Position Details: • Type: Direct hire, full-time, onsite • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM • Location: Various Upstate, New York • Compensation: $85,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience Position Overview: The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and specifications. The Field Supervisor will be the key liaison between the project management team and field crews, they will ensure the timely execution of project tasks while maintaining high-quality workmanship. This role involves firsthand supervision, effective problem solving and fostering a productive team environment. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and supervise field staff in day-to-day activities. Determine means and methods of construction and workforce requirements, with assistance from the VP of Field Operations. • Coordinate assigned work with the work of different trades, and/or other contractors, with assistance from the Project Manager(s) and/or the VP of Field Operations. • Maintain liaison with the Owner/Architect/Engineer and Project Management to ensure work complies with the contract documents and job schedule. • Responsibly for coordination with the Project Manager(s) and the VP of Field Operations in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) • Assist Project Manager with job schedule, material procurement, delivery and start dates for vendors and/or subcontractors. Assist in creating and maintaining budgets and estimates. • Directly responsible for implementing and enforcing Company and O.S.H.A. safety standards. • Maintain Daily Logs, Timesheets and other documentation as directed by the Project Manager and/or General Superintendent. • Perform additional assignments by General Superintendent’s direction. • Manage the overall safety of the project and ensure all personnel have resources to perform their work safely. • Mentor and train field personnel. • Generate RFI’s (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identifying any discrepancies. • Review submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer’s recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system. • Work with the project team to manage the company’s quality control program for the project. • Responsible for site safety, Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies. • Work with project teams to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools and other cost considerations. • Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities for the project. Qualifications: • At least five (5) years of proven leadership or experience in a supervisory role. • A four (4) year degree in Engineering or Construction management preferred, however, an equivalent amount of experience and/or training will be considered in lieu of degree. • Minimum ten (10) years of supervisory experience in the Construction industry required. • Experience in Microsoft Office and Project preferred. • Current NYS driver’s license • Insurable driving record • Knowledge of job scheduling and the use of computer software (Procure) is preferred but not mandatory.
