Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing, forming, and pouring, and building concrete foundations and shafts. • Performs duties to Allan Myers Safety production and quality standards. • Ability to maintain an image of excellence with regards to jobsite, job trailer, equipment and vehicle housekeeping and maintenance. • Reads and interprets blueprints and performs layout according to scale. • Transfers lines and grades. • Possesses basic carpentry skills required to build concrete structures. • Fabricates and erects formwork and bulkheads using wood and proprietary systems, i.e. EFCO, PERRY, SYMONS, DOKA, etc. • Aligns and plumbs forms, installs ties, water stop and chamfer. • Lays out, places and ties rebar. • Places, finishes and cures concrete. • Erects scaffold and handrail systems. • Sets and plumbs panels for MSE wall. • Set sleeves, block outs, anchor bolts and other imbeds • Familiar with setup and operation of bridge finishing machines. • Weld. • Fabricate and install wood and steel forming systems; heavy civil construction projects. • Perform other job related responsibilities as required or assigned by manager. Qualifications: • HS Diploma, GED, or Trade School preferred. • Carpentry Apprentice Program preferred. • 1-3 years of concrete experience required • Valid driver’s license required • Must possess working knowledge of Proper tool usage (hand saw, hammer, hammer holder, tape measure, pliers, tool pouch, chalk box, adjustable wrench, plumb bob, framing square, screw driver, 2-foot level) • Ability to give or receive written or oral instructions. • Must be able to work independently. • Knowledge to perform “carpenter skill set”. • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations .
