Meadors Inc. has an opening for a Carpenter to join our Estate Management and Maintenance Workshop. The Carpenter will supervise and work collaboratively with a helper. Meadors is a design-build firm located in Charleston, SC that specializes in custom high-end residential and light commercial work. We focus on both historic preservation/restoration and new construction. We are comprised of six workshops—Architecture, Construction, Conservation and Preservation Planning, Design Services, Cabinetry & Millwork, and Estate Management & Maintenance. Please submit your cover letter and resume to: info@meadorsinc.com Qualifications • High School Diploma or General Education Degree • Minimum of 5 Years of high-end carpentry experience • Must possess a valid driver’s license • Have proper fundamental Carpenter tools • Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English) • Comfortable using ladders and scaffolding • Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools • Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly • Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from insulation to tile to drywall • Perform work in accordance with safety and best practices • Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools • Document repairs and maintain thorough records • Measure and mark materials for alterations • Ability to speak to clients politely, and represent Meadors positively

Carpentry

As a Cabinet Installation & Punchwork Technician, you will be responsible for the final stages of cabinet installs—ensuring quality, function, and appearance meet our high standards. This role is perfect for a hands-on problem solver with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: • Perform final punchwork on cabinet installations, including adjustments, hardware installation, trim, fillers, and touch-ups • Correct minor defects and ensure cabinets are level, aligned, and securely installed • Address customer punch lists and perform final walk-throughs as needed • Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timelines and quality standards are met • Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in cabinet installation, finish carpentry, or similar field • Strong attention to detail with an eye for high-end finishes • Ability to read blueprints and cabinet layout plans • Proficient with carpentry tools and techniques • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various indoor environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,500.00 per week Schedule: • Day shift Application Question(s): • How many relevant years of experience do you have? Finish Carpenter

Overview We are a small, higher-end residential finish carpentry business. The owner is on-site and hands-on daily. Good environment to learn new skills or refine existing skills with challenging tasks. Currently only one crew but opportunity to develop as a lead and manage a small crew if desired. Mostly interior work. Built-ins, handrails, etc. Not alot of linear footage work (baseboard, crown, casing, door-hanging). Responsibilities • Perform trim carpentry tasks, including the installation of moldings, baseboards, and door frames. • Execute cabinet installation with precision, ensuring alignment and proper fitting. • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to fabricate and assemble wood products. • Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements. • Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square for optimal quality. • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Requirements • minimum experience required but knowledge of basic tools preferred • Proficiency with power tools and hand tools commonly used in carpentry work. • Strong skills in trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fabrication techniques. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
