Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman / Carpenter (1099) to join the Link16 team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential maintenance and renovation work, with abilities in one or more of the following areas: carpentry, drywall, painting, or minor plumbing and electrical. You don’t need to be an expert in every trade—if you can confidently perform at least one of these scopes with professional quality, we’d love to hear from you. Responsibilities (Applicants do not need to perform all tasks below—list represents the variety of work available.) • Perform general maintenance, repair, and light renovation work on residential properties. • Complete trim and structural carpentry, including doors, frames, base/casing, and light framing repairs. • Handle drywall hanging, finishing (Level 4/5), and ceiling repairs. • Execute minor plumbing and electrical tasks such as fixture replacements, outlet/switch repairs, and faucet installations. • Prep, prime, and paint walls and trim to a professional finish. • Assist with make-ready turns, punch lists, and small remodeling scopes. • Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining job-site cleanliness and safety. • Communicate clearly with project managers and property managers. • Manage time efficiently and complete assigned scopes within schedule and budget. Qualifications • Proven experience in residential repair, carpentry, drywall, or handyman services (2 + years preferred). • Competence in at least one of the following: carpentry, drywall, paint, plumbing, or electrical. • Own tools, reliable transportation, and valid driver’s license. • Operate as a 1099 subcontractor with General Liability insurance • Ability to lift 50 lbs + and perform physically demanding work. • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability. Compensation • Hourly rate: $25–$45 per hour based on skill and experience. • Full-time schedule: Consistent 40-hour workweeks, with opportunities for optional weekend work when available. • Bi-weekly direct deposit for all completed hours. • 1099 subcontractor structure • Steady, year-round work across the Augusta/CSRA region.
