Construction Quality Management Specialist

Job Description: The Construction Quality Management (CQM) Specialist will oversee the coordination of construction quality management programs for assigned projects. This includes reviewing and providing recommendations on contractor quality control plans, attending selective quality control meetings, and monitoring checklists for accuracy and thoroughness. The CQM Specialist will also provide remarks on Government Quality Assurance (QA) reports and review relevant sections of Contractor's Quality Control (QC) reports. Additionally, they will take progress photos, validate quantity, condition, and approval of materials, and coordinate support to review and witness successful testing and commissioning/certification of critical systems. The CQM Specialist will ensure quality workmanship in accordance with specifications and industry standards, attend/witness selected tests, and review all applicable test reports and results. They will also keep the Government sponsor advised of project status and ensure that Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) are discussed by the construction contractor and their subcontractors prior to beginning each work activity. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Must have a strong background in construction quality management and experience with CQM for Contractors course associated with the ACOE. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to read and understand construction documents, including plans, specifications, and technical RFPs. • Knowledge of local conditions, including availability of construction materials and skilled labor.
