Maintenance Technician/Carpenter

We are looking for the newest member of our Maintenance team! New Hope is a non-profit organization and is dedicated to enrich the lives of others with disabilities. Description • Performs skilled woodwork in layouts, installations and alterations of cabinets, counter-tops and small remodeling projects. • Performs skilled woodwork in maintenance and repairs of doors, trim, furniture and building structures. • Makes rough sketches and estimates of materials needed for a job. • Repairs walls by applying drywall in the appropriate steps to completion. • Maintains appearance of furniture, wood and walls by applying a matching coat of paint, stain or varnish as needed. • Must have a valid driver's license • CDL with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one, satisfactory driving record and insurable under New Hope's insurance. • Subject to the Federal Transit Administration's Drug and Alcohol Testing Rule. Required: High School diploma or equivalent and job-related training Preferred: Technical training in finish carpentry, woodwork, dry-wall installation and painting.
