We are looking for the newest member of our Maintenance team! New Hope is a non-profit organization and is dedicated to enrich the lives of others with disabilities. Description • Performs skilled woodwork in layouts, installations and alterations of cabinets, counter-tops and small remodeling projects. • Performs skilled woodwork in maintenance and repairs of doors, trim, furniture and building structures. • Makes rough sketches and estimates of materials needed for a job. • Repairs walls by applying drywall in the appropriate steps to completion. • Maintains appearance of furniture, wood and walls by applying a matching coat of paint, stain or varnish as needed. • Must have a valid driver's license • CDL with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one, satisfactory driving record and insurable under New Hope's insurance. • Subject to the Federal Transit Administration's Drug and Alcohol Testing Rule. Required: High School diploma or equivalent and job-related training Preferred: Technical training in finish carpentry, woodwork, dry-wall installation and painting. CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN

Breda Telephone Corporation d/b/a Western Iowa Networks is looking for a full-time Construction Technician for their Carroll, IA operations. Responsibilities include: • Places buried fiber optic cable or duct systems using plowing, digging, trenching, and boring equipment. • Construction and maintenance of new and existing fiber cable facilities. • Must be able to use backhoe, direction boring, trenching, and plowing equipment, mini-excavator and hand tools for construction, cleanup, and restoration. • Locate and expose existing underground fiber and cable plant facilities and identify other utilities after they have been located. • Hand dig around existing utilities when necessary. • Perform routine maintenance on equipment being used. • Keep up to date on County, City, and State permit requirements. • Keep County, City, and State officials up to date on plant construction. • Read communication prints, maps, and staking sheets for placing fiber, copper cable, or underground conduit. Experience/Skills: • Backhoe, directional drill, trencher, vibratory plow, and mini-excavator operation experience is preferred. • Fiber splicing experience beneficial • Individual needs to be very customer oriented. • Computer experience preferred.
