Visit us: www.henkelconstruction.com Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents to plan work layout. • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for structures and fixtures. • Install hollow metal doors, frames, hardware, and specialty items (e.g., toilet partitions, marker boards). • Construct forms and chutes for concrete pouring. • Perform cabinet, floor, window, and trim installation using hand and power tools. • Inspect and repair woodwork, tile, and structural components as needed. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for projects above ground level. • Operate power tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Maintain clean and secure job sites, following Henkel's safety standards. • Perform basic welding, concrete mixing, plumbing, and ceiling/wall paneling as needed. • Uphold company values through reliable, respectful, and results-oriented conduct. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience in commercial construction. • Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure and mark materials. • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry machinery. • Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding work. • Ability to climb, kneel, bend, crawl, and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding. • Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to wear required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) and work in varying weather conditions. • Travel required as needed to support regional job sites. Based on a construction project site, they assist by leading our carpenters and apprentices. They help encourage and drive our safety culture. Job Title: Carpenter Foreman Reports to: Field Leader/Field Operations Leader Purpose: The purpose of this job is to coordinate and train carpenters to deliver a high-quality project safely. What you'll do: • Manages and coordinates field personnel and activities including: • Project layout and planning • Crew and workforce management • Work sequencing • Mentor and train carpenters • Assisting with crew’s Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms • Graham tool and equipment onsite inventory • Attend foreman meetings • Coordinates and sequences work with other trade partners. • Maintain established schedule dates • Promote, enforce, and train on Graham’s safety policies • Conducts safety walks and reports • Understand budgets for self-perform work • Maintain clean jobsite and ICRA standards • Represent Graham externally to trade partners, clients, and industry representatives • All other duties as assigned What knowledge, Skills, & Abilities you'll bring: • Experience in general construction carpenter work, graduate in an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience • Preferred – Previous experience managing carpenters • Extremely detail-oriented • Strong leadership skills • Ability to use written and verbal communication effectively • Ability to see the big picture Legal Requirements • Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass pre-employment testing • Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather. • Must be able to work in a noisy environment • Ability to understand and enforce jobsite safety rules and OSHA requirements • Ability to work within one of Graham Construction’s operational areas as assigned. This is an onsite role. Note - This will be an in-field Central Iowa position, not an office position. All Carpenters are scheduled 40+ hours a week. We are looking for skilled craftsmen to add to our team of dedicated, safe, productive, and proven craftsmen.
