Sheet Metal Welder

Position Summary Advanced Sheet Metal, as a company within Lochridge-Priest, is locally owned and operated, and is the largest provider of residential and commercial heating and air-conditioning services and commercial plumbing services in Central Texas. This position is responsible for providing top quality production of all types of Heavy Commercial HVAC ductwork in a timely and safe manner. Brand new, state of the art sheet metal shop, running at the correct speed to meet customer needs and company goals. Company Benefits • Medical, Dental Vision, and Life Insurance • Paid Time Off • 401K with Company Match • Continuous Training Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project • Sourcing the materials to be used in the project • Measuring and cutting materials to specifications • Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together • Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints • Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding • Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques • Being able to do other duties assigned outside of welding duties Additional Qualifications • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction • Valid social security number • Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company • Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces. • Observe all company procedures and safety rules • Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required • Neat, professional appearance Note: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

About the Role - Skilled TIG Welder – Blueprint Reading a Must! We’re looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join our growing fabrication team through Express Employment Professionals. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys problem-solving through design interpretation, and values craftsmanship in metal fabrication. As part of our production crew, you’ll work with stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals — performing high-quality TIG welds while following detailed blueprints and technical drawings. What You’ll Do as a Welder • Perform TIG welding on various metals to meet project specifications • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, layouts, and weld symbols • Inspect welds for accuracy, appearance, and quality standards • Set up and maintain welding equipment and materials • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals safely and efficiently • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety procedures What We’re Looking For Welders • 2+ years of TIG welding experience (stainless steel/aluminum preferred) • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work • Knowledge of welding safety, materials, and tools • Ability to pass a weld test (TIG certification a plus!)
