Job Description Summary: A certified Welder in the solar industry is responsible for performing welding operations to assemble and fabricate solar panels, structures, and components. Job Description: • This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. • Setting up and operating welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding machines. • Preparing materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping them as needed. • Welding components together using the appropriate welding techniques and methods. • Inspecting welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Repairing and modifying existing solar panels and structures as necessary. • Collaborating with engineers and other team members to resolve welding-related issues and improve processes. • Following safety procedures and wearing protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries. • Maintaining welding equipment and tools in good working condition. • Keeping accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
