How You Will Make an Impact: The Welder is responsible for operating a multitude of welding equipment working primarily on aluminum, steel and galvanneal requiring a high grade of skill. The more you learn, the more you earn! We promote almost 100% of our production leaders from within. Most start their leadership career in this welder role or general laborer/assembler role. The Nuts and Bolts: • Read blueprints and weld metals according to customer or employer requirements • Operation of heavy equipment such as saws • Perform set up of machine and preventative maintenance as required • Examine created welds to check for defects/flaws • Ability to learn and perform different methods of welding to obtain certifications • Perform safety and quality checks • Work and adhere to all safety policies Required Credentials: • Basic math, tape measurement and computer skills • Basic experience with hand tools • Able to understand and comprehend measurement • Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications • Must be 18 years old Preferred Credentials (but not required): • Previous experience in manufacturing • Previous experience working on truck bodies • High School Diploma or equivalent GED You Must Be Able to: • This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The team member is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places. Fabrication Specialist - Welding -- Full-Time

Available Shifts:Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p Comprehensive Compensation Package:Pay Rate up to $38 per hour - depending on experience If you are self-motivated, reliable, and have a history of mechanical, troubleshooting, and/or automotive repair experience, this job is for you! Requires two-years’ as a Maintenance Technician or four-years’ Industrial maintenance experience with responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs. • Must be knowledgeable in pneumatics, blue/schematic print reading (mechanical/electrical), welding, using shop equipment, and fabrication. • An electrical background with experience in troubleshooting is highly preferred • Be familiar with AC and DC drives and PLC’s. • Demonstrated problem solving and electrical and mechanical skills are also required. • 2 - 4 years boiler experience is preferred. Candidate must have electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge that allows a comprehensive and thorough understanding of utilities process and electrical/controls. Strong utilities/manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude and utilities troubleshooting skills are required. Electrical Duties: Tasked with performing or assisting with all major and minor electrical repairs including 480V 3-phase motor repairs/installation, motor starter circuit repairs, VFD drives, photo-optic sensing devices, proximity switches, E-Stop circuitry, and ground fault detection in accordance with the guidelines established by Pactiv’s “Electrical Safety Program” Utilize precision measuring tools/devices, hand tools and testing instruments (Amp meter, Ohm meter, testing lamp, megger, etc.) for electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics and basic electrical symbol identification. Understand electrical theory including basic ohms-law application. Troubleshoot difficult maintenance problems that occur throughout the plant with a major emphasis on electrical problems, to include A.C. drives, PLC (programmable logic controllers) as well as basic motor control circuits. Mechanical Duties: Basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems. Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment when needed. Basic knowledge of mechanical devices and apparatus with skills in repairing mechanical equipment. Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose problems. Disassemble, repair/replace and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment including such devices as motors, conveyors, pumps, belts, chains, etc. Read mechanical prints and technical data during the installation and repair of equipment. Test water quality for all utility systems and take any necessary corrective action, such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits. Maintain and repair fire protection equipment, to include testing/certifications of pumps and alarm systems. Monitor and inspect equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions, and to ensure that facilities equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Conducts scheduled safety checks and PMs of utility/facilities related equipment. Manage contractors to complete equipment repairs and/or preventive maintenance tasks. Qualified candidates require either a 2-year Industrial Electrical Degree or 1-2 years’ equivalent experience in an industrial environment. Able to operate forklift and high-lift equipment, welding experience desired. High degree of mechanical ability and aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on electro-mechanical equipment. Basic computer skills required.
