Job Summary As a Welder at SMT, you will layout, fit, and weld metal components to specifications to create sub-assemblies and final products. Key Responsibilities • Interpret complex blueprints and sketches to determine layout and welding processes. • Set up and operate welding, grinding, and cutting equipment. • Prepare and assemble parts and sub-assemblies according to specifications. • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards. • Maintain accurate production records and paperwork. • Keep a clean and safe work environment. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education & Experience • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. • Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
